Jan Wright set up as a freelance consultant providing management support and independent evaluation and research services tailored to the specific needs of voluntary and community organisations in September 2007. Drawing on over 20 years direct experience of developing, implementing and managing projects/ programmes within voluntary sector and 4 years as Community Fund [now Big Lottery] Policy and Research Officer for Northern Ireland, current services include strategic and operational planning evaluating projects/programmes against funding objectives, key outputs and end of year/ funding cycle outcomes critically reviewing data recording, reporting and monitoring systems desk and primary research, including questionnaire design and quantitative analysis design and implementation of qualitative methodologies report writing, and identification of evidence based conclusions and recommendations. proof reading and editing complex written and statistical material for a variety of audiences. Particular areas of expertise include the NI advice sector, community development, housing, and criminal justice and prisons. I am also keen to work with local groups and organisations on ‘small scale’ pieces of work e.g. circa £3k or so.
